World Teacher Day commemorates the signing of the 1966 UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers, setting appropriate standards relating to the education personnel policy, recruitment, training and working conditions. World Teacher Day is an opportunity to acknowledge our teachers and thank them for the significant contributions they make in our classrooms.
