Purple Day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing the awareness of epilepsy around the world. On this day, people are encouraged to wear purple and host events in support of epilepsy awareness. 65 million people have epilepsy worldwide, estimated to be 1 in 100 people statistically. 50 percent of these cases remain unknown.
