World Legal Services Day
Originating in India in 1995, this day seeks to offer legal services to vulnerable people in society. It focuses on offering support and help such as free of charge, proficient and legal services to the weaker andlower socio-economic sectors of the community It focuses on making people aware of the various provisions under the Legal Services Authorities Act and the right of litigants, where each jurisdiction organises Lok Adalats, legal aid camps and legal aid programmes.
