UN Spanish Language Day

Established by the united Nation’s Department of Public Information in 2010, the Spanish Language Day seeks to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity as well as to promote equal use of all six official languages throughout the Organization.

The day was chosen to mark the anniversary of the death of the great genius of Spanish literature, Miguel de Cervantes.
