The Hajj (Pilgrimage) to Mecca begins
The Hajj is a week-long annual pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the holiest city for Muslims. It is a mandatory religious duty for Muslims who are physically and financially able to undertake at least once in their life. On average, more than two million people attend each year.
