Shichi-Go-San (Japan)
Shichi-Go-San is a Japanese holiday celebrating the growth and well-being of young children. Even numbers are considered lucky in East Asia. Shichi-Go-San means ‘seven-five-three-, representing seven, five, and three year olds and their traditional right of passage in the middle of their childhood, youth and growth. As it is not a national holiday, it is generally observed on the nearest weekend.
