Saint Maroun’s Day (Lebanon)

A national public holiday in Lebanon celebrated annually on 9 February to honour 5th century Christian monk and missionary Saint Maroun, patron saint and founder of the Maronite Church. On this day, Maronite Christians gather in churches and monasteries for Mass and special liturgical events.
