Rheumatoid Arthritis Awareness Day

Rheumatoid arthritis is one of the most common autoimmune inflammatory diseases in the world. A lack of public awareness is the most common reason for inaction when it comes to treatment, and the purpose of this day, initiated by US non-profit organisation the Rheumatoid Patient Foundation, is to counter barriers to treatment. It is also a day to celebrate and publicise medical breakthroughs in treatment.
