Pausha Putrada Ekadashi

Observed in the Hindu month of Pausha, Pausha Putrada Ekadashi (trans: ‘Ekadashi that is the giver of sons’) is a holy day in the Hindu culture and religion. It falls on the 11th Lunar Day of the fortnight of the waxing moon, in December or January. On this day married couples fast and worship the god Vishnu, in the hopes they will be blessed with a son.
