    Oman National Day

    Oman National Day is celebrated on the 18th of November every year to commemorate the birthday of Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said, who ruled Oman from 1970 until his passing in 2020. This significant day holds great importance for the Omani people as it honors the leadership and legacy of Sultan Qaboos and celebrates the unity and progress of the nation.

    On this public holiday, the country is adorned with festive decorations, and various events are organized nationwide to mark the occasion. These events often include colorful parades featuring military marches, traditional dances, and cultural displays, showcasing Oman’s rich heritage and diversity. Additionally, there may be fireworks, concerts, exhibitions, and other cultural activities held to bring communities together in celebration.
    This day is observed by the people in Oman as the start of a two-day break, also marking November 19th as a public holiday.
