NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islander Day Observance Committee) Week is a week-long event to celebrate and recognise the history culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities. Educational and cultural activities are organised throughout Australia, culminating in a Ball on the final day where awards are given. Each year has a different theme and a poster competition open to all Indigenous people.
