Shravana Masik Shivaratri

Masik Shivaratri is a Hindu celebration of prayer and fasting dedicated to Lord Shiva with the hope of achieving peace and removal of all difficulties in life. This day occurs on the 14th day of each month during the declining moon half, known as Krishna Paksha. It is believed that Lord Shiva blesses and fulfils the aspirations of the fasting devotees on every Masik Shivratri. Unmarried women observe this fast to get married, and married women observe this fast to maintain peace and harmony in their marriage.
