International Transgender Day of Visibility
International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) was founded by activist Rachel Crandall of Michigan in 2009 to raise awareness of discrimination faced by the transgender community, and to celebrate their contributions to society. The goal is to help raise awareness of violence and discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide. It aims to celebrate the work and achievements of transgender men, women, nonbinary and intersex people in society, as well as bring attention to the challenges these people face every day. Each year, cities all around the world host events in celebration of TDOV.
