Due to wars and armed conflicts around the world and ignoring of one of the most basic rules, to protect children, many children are unable to get an education. This greatly impacts not only the future of these children but also the future and stability of their countries. In 2020 the UN established this day to affirm the primary responsibility of governments to provide protection and ensure inclusive and equitable quality education at all levels to all learners, especially those in vulnerable situations.
