A UN international day, celebrated in 2022 for the first time. Gender equality and women’s representation in the judiciary across the world is important for a variety of reasons – not least of which, so legal system accurately represent the societies they operate in. The day is also intended to inspire the next generation of female judges, supporting and motivating people in achieving this goal.
