04 June

International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression

This day marks the student-led demonstrations, in part calling for greater accountability from the Chinese government, that began on 15 April 1989 and were forcibly suppressed in Tiananmen Square, Beijing by government forces on 4 June, killing hundreds or maybe thousands of protestors. This day is observed in a variety of private and public ways in places around the world at grassroots level.
