International Day of Happiness
Established by the UN in 2013 to promote ‘a more inclusive, equitable and balanced approach to economic growth that promotes the happiness and well-being of all peoples’. The resolution was initiated by Bhutan, a country which famously adopted the goal of Gross National Happiness over Gross National Product in the 1970s.
