International Children’s Book Day

Since 1967, International Children’s Book Day is celebrated to inspire a love of reading in children and bring attention to children’s books and authors. Every year, a theme is chosen and a prominent author from the host country writes a message for children of the world and an illustrator designs a project. These materials are used to promote books and reading.
