Independence Day (Vietnam)
National Day, or Independence Day (Ngày Quốc khánh) is the national holiday in Vietnam. It commemorates Vietnam’s declaration of independence from France as read by President Hồ Chí Minh at Ba Đình Square in Hanoi on 2 September 1945. The day is celebrated with speeches, parades and fireworks. There is also a large march in Ba Đình Square.
