Heroes and Forefathers Day

Heroes and Forefathers Day is a cultural holiday celebrated every third Monday of October, starting from October 18, 2021. This holiday is celebrated in the British Virgin Islands, replacing St. Ursula’s Day, to better reflect the Virgin Islands’ culture and history. Heroes and Forefathers Day is a day to pay tribute to the heroes of the country and to remind us of the rich and exceptional history of our country. The celebration of this holiday demonstrates the solidarity of the people and commemorates the achievements of our forebears, as well as the triumph of virtue over evil.
