Earth Day

Earth Day, also known as International Mother Earth Day, is an annual international event established in the United States in 1970 to raise awareness about environmental concerns and the importance of environmental protection. This global initiative aims to mobilize people from around the world to take action towards safeguarding our planet for future generations. Today, Earth Day engages over 1 billion individuals from more than 193 countries in a wide range of events and activities, including tree planting, clean-up campaigns, educational programs, and advocacy efforts. In 2009, the United Nations officially designated April 22nd as International Mother Earth Day, recognizing the interconnectedness of all living beings and the need for collective action to preserve the health and sustainability of our planet. Earth Day serves as a reminder of the critical role that each of us plays in protecting and preserving the environment for the well-being of all life on Earth.
