Dragon Boat Festival begins
Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Tuen Ng, is a traditional Chinese festival with ancient origins that are not entirely known. However, the most well-known origin story associates it with commemorating the tragic death of Qu Yuan (c. 340–278 BC), a revered Chinese poet and political leader. The festival is celebrated through various customs, including dragon boat racing, rituals, and festivities.
