Constitution Day (Slovakia)
Constitution Day is Slovakia’s National Day. In Slovakia it is called ‘Deň Ústavy Slovenskej republiky’ and it commemorates the adoption of the Slovak constitution on the 1 September 1992. The day is celebrated with traditional customs like folk dancing and singing. For the day the parliament and Bratislava Castle are opened to the public. In the evening the Bratislava Castle is lit up to mark the occasion.
