Chuseok (South Korea)
Also called Hangawi, this is a three-day harvest festival and holiday in South Korea, celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar on the full moon. It is the biggest traditional holiday in South Korea and is celebrated by families gathering in their hometowns to spend time together, share a feast of traditional food and appreciate their ancestors for an abundant harvest. Chuseok translates to ‘autumn evening’.
