This day celebrates the Birthday of Guru Nanak which falls on the date of the full moon in the month of Katak (usually October/November). The day celebrates his message that all are equal before God and should live peacefully with one another. Guru Nanak was the founder of the Sikh faith. Nankana Sahib, a city named in his honour, is the most important religious site for the Sikh religion
