Autumn Equinox (northern hemisphere)

Also known as Fall Equinox, Mabon and known as ‘Shūbun-no-hi’ in Japan, this day marks the movement of the sun from the northern to the southern hemisphere, celebrates the seasonal change and for many is a time to honour ancestors. In the southern hemisphere, Autumn Equinox is celebrated in March.
